ould debate that they were in fact equitable one very major instance of the hungry sleep-drugged marrow seeking a way to be heard. However, many artsists of those periods, and indeed today,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], would flatly veto everything remotely to do with spiritual things - or aggravate still - religious asset.
Take, for example, one of my favourites - Mark Rothko. This tragic artist committed himself to the mission of producing large sheets with many vaguely resembling the contour of a window - particularly an afterward picture once the eye has closed. His extensive expanses of colour appeared to hound out a turn or edge in a desperate venture to complete, or conclude, the picture. Not satisfied with that he went on to give up titling his go saying that he did no absence to inspire the observer in any access. Ironically he failed ... and sadly took his own life. For me his works talk of wonderful tantilizing clues visually demonstrating the struggling spirit seeking (and succeeding!) in revealing herself - now thatis real affect! Let me unravel by an apparently unrelated route:
I seek to aid my own spirit in attempting to make manifest even the tiniest, maximum miserable, weakest fact that the spirit in us all is not merely just attempting to communicate with us - merely is in fact actively seeking to set the whole people balance right ... which is the spirit guiding the idea and body behind to her source - not the additional way round - the mind and body leadership the blinded soul to ... well, finally death.
Not so long ago I came across the writings of Meister Eckhart, a fourteenth century Christian abstruse. His words astounded me. He described in his numerous sermons what he trusted to be the truth as to why we are here. He also revealed many tantilizing "images" of the spirit from the fewest angelic being right up apt God Himself. His descriptions were ... how tin I put it simply? ... abstract!
In one of his sermons he described God as ... "unknowable" ... "not competent to be understood" ... "undefinable". In another he made a expression (one of many which may have endowed to him being accused of heresy!) "People say God exists ... God does not exist ... " left out of environment that would be a truly blasphemous assertion. But he went on to say that "... God is far greater ... God is further existance". These and many other controversial sayings have impressed me so much that I have come to "see" God as an abstract entity - not, I accelerate to join, an anarchic abstract form - but rather a God distant extra powerful, far extra greater - than I can dream ... in other words totally undefinable. Rather than this putting a distance among me and God, it has done accurate the inverse. And while Eckhart began to describe the life of Christ in an nearly completely abstract way - Eckhart said that Christs life was the greatest example of the seeking and ascertaining the uncreated source of the pure soul - my imagination began to flee favor a film of frenzied dim visuals. Eckhart has become, to me, the contributor angel of abstract artists.
The beauty of Eckharts mystic words are intensely inspiring. What better way to illuminate his poetic writings than to describe Gods "isness" in the very elementary form of a giant smooth space of one saturated colour untainted by anythingelse. Strangely enough this could be portion of an accurate description from one of Rothko's immense, periodically almost monochromatic, paintings.
But this namely along no method the whole story ... an of Eckhart's contradictions said namely aboard the an hand God is totally unapproachable, anyhow at the same time God is really very, quite approachable ...
However, that is another treatise.
